This time around with Morrison out the circumstances changed as Nulla won the boss and elected to bat.
Opening bowler Ross Field (3/31) showed no signs of a Kempsey Cup hangover to rip in early as Nulla saw themselves at 3/19.
The wickets continued to fall as first drop Bryce Widdison was left stranded on 37 not out with his side bowled out for 99.
Rovers captain Scott Witchard caused havoc with the ball to dismiss the tail with figures of 4/7 off 3.2 overs.
At 3/40 Rovers weren't off to the greatest start but it was Witchard again who continued to put his stamp on the game.
Witchard finished 42 not out off 37 balls to deliver a win for his side in a close run contest as Rovers reached the tally 8 wickets down.
Opener Brett Williams had the next best score with 24 runs off 33 balls.
Mathew Ennis caused the biggest concern for the Rovers with figures of 4/20 off 6 overs after ripping through the top order.
