Heartfelt is the title of Robyn's 7th solo exhibition, and it will run at the Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery at Gladstone from December 1 to 21.
"Bushfires, continual smoke and the lockdown for CVID overtook our lives. With my art I was continually seeking that happy place, that time before or in the future when our lives would be happy, serene and disease free," Robyn said.
"My emotional connection with my paintings helped me to escape reality and find that happy place.
Botanicals are an influence in this latest exhibition - inspired by the precise drawings and paintings of plants, often with a white background.
"My artworks feature a rich colour palette of dyes on silk. I start with a strong composition, then a gutta (rubber resist) outline, followed by watercolour dyes that flow one to the next in a story of their own," Robyn said.
"I hope my art makes you feel happy and reconnects you to a hopeful future."
The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
