Kempsey Tennis club has a new coach on the courts, accredited junior Development Coach with Tennis Australia Vicki Allman is bringing her 25 years of expertise to the local club on Fridays.
Vicki has been playing tennis nearly all her life, starting at the age of ten she learnt from Australian professional tennis player Todd Woodbridge, who is a second cousin to her mother.
She then went on to win National and State titles in both singles and doubles in Australia and was ranked in the top 10 in Australia for singles and number one for doubles in her age group.
Her coaching career started when she was offered a tennis scholarship to the USA and taught at a large tennis club in Houston Texas, while also operating her own private tennis coaching business.
She is now coaching students aged 3 to 60 four days a week at South West Rocks, and one day at Kempsey.
