The rain was a welcome sight to all the Macleay farmers but for all the local sporting events on the weekend it was a night-mare with all events being washed out over the weekend, but hopefully it will be better this week despite more heavy rain forecasted.
All players of every sport should check with your club officials for the upcoming events over the weekend to see if there is a chance of play.
With last Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Club being a washout we hope this weekend will be okay with the 2020 Brad Dyet & Caleb Foran Sponsored 18 hole 4 person Ambrose event for your Christmas hams being staged.
Stay ahead with local news by signing up for the Macleay Argus newsletter here.
All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and for more information about the upcoming events at the club please give the club a call anytime.
With next Friday being Christmas Day the club wishes to advise everyone that the club will be closed for that day.
However, it will be open again on Boxing Day for the staging of the 18 hole medley single stableford event and again you can book in now at the club or go online to book in and with the Christmas holidays here all visitors in the area are most welcome to play anytime.
Don't forget the weekly Thursday nine hole dash for cash will still be held each week over the holidays with a walk start at the club.
All visitors and social players are most welcome to play, please book in at the pro shop before hitting off.
The Kempsey Golf Club would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and good golfing in 2021.
Personally, I would like to thank everyone for your support during the year and Merry Christmas.
