Crescent Head Netball Club member, Issy Koivu (14), and Ebony Haywood (13) of Frederickton Netball Club have both been chosen to represent NCAS with Koivu part of the performance squad and Haywood in the development squad.
Both the development and performance squad have 10 players each with over 90 trialling.
"My goals from here, short-term wise is to make the state team, whilst long-term I'd love to represent the Silver Ferns because my Dad was born in New Zealand," Koivu told the Argus.
"Overall I just want to play to the best of my ability and I'm looking forward to the experience and meeting new people."
For Haywood, the goals are similar with eyes on further representative honours.
"I'd like to progress and make the NCAS performance team and in the long-term make the state side," she said.
The academy program starts in February and goes till September.
Members of the Macleay Netball Association are not just excelling with ball in hand, with Kalinda Larkins (17) and Zoe Aspiotis (13) apart of the NCAS Umpires Development Program.
The program for umpires involves warming up with players with the opportunity to travel to Orange with the squad players, umpiring those academy games as mentors watch on.
Larkins and Aspiotis are two of six selected with three of those to potentially go on to badging.
"In the short-term I'd like to get my National B and long term AA badge and umpire overseas and Suncorp Games," Larkins said.

"The program opens up opportunities to go further.
"The National B badge takes a lot of word work and training so hopefully I can achieve that."
"I'd also like to get my National B badge and hope to umpire state games in Sydney in the future," Aspiotis added.
Both girls currently have their National C umpiring badges with the National AA badge the highest national award.
