"During our closure our young cinema supervisor passed away. Josh Hennessy was our heart and soul so we have also renamed the cinema in his legacy - formerly the Roxy, now 6th toe | movies + music," cinema owner Garry Farrar said.
"Josh had a unique trait that he would boast about - a sixth toe on one of his feet!
"Part of our movie scheduling over the school holidays is an Australian movie, Swimming for Gold, starring Daniel Needs, a South West Rocks local.
"This Saturday, January 9, Daniel is dropping in to the cinema to talk about his career and the making of this movie - plus Q&A for patrons and then he will intro the movie screening."
The event will starts at 2.15pm, with the movie rolling from 3 o'clock.
"We can only accommodate 45 patrons so it will be a small intimate event. Patrons need to book via www.6thtoe.com.au," Garry said.
"The world of movies and cinema is changing due to COVID, so being able to show a local Aussie production and have a very local star of the movie in attendance is special."
