A wet, rainy day met anglers venturing out on January 2 for the first Saturday of this month's competition.
Sunday saw an improvement with some cloud, but generally sunny skies.
Sixty-one anglers entered the comp, and a total of 25 kg was weighed in on Sunday.
The outside section was dominated by Dave Riddel who took out prizes for the largest Pearl Perch, 2.540 kg, Snapper, 810 gm, Morwong, 1.055 kg.
Dave also won Outside Angler of the Month with 4 species.
Ashley White had the winning Pearl Perch, weighing 1.205 kg, in the ladies section.
Beach, Rock and Estuary winners were:
Bream - senior - Graeme Taylor, 635 gm; Lady - Margaret Wright, 725 gm; junior boy under 10 - Arkie Quain, 425 gm; junior girl under 10 - Amani Ashley, 535 gm.
Dusky Flathead - senior - Damien Ashley, 1.775 kg; Junior Boy - Daniel Lewis, 670 gm; junior boy under 10 - Arkie Quain, 375 gm; junior girl under 10 - Olivia Wright, 640 gm.
Whiting - senior - Pat Halverson, 375 gm; lady - Margaret Wright, 390 gm; junior boy under 10 - Finn Mclean, 405 gm; junior girl under 10 - Olivia Wright, 465 gm.
Largest Other - senior - Damien Ashley, Drummer, 1.3510 kg; junior - Amani Ashley, Tarwhine, 425 gm.
Angler of the Month Beach, Rock & Estuary - Damien Ashley with 6 species; Junior - Amani Ashley with 4 species.
Our next monthly comp will be on the weekend of 6th & 7th February.
Also, our annual Huge Fishing Comp will be on the weekend of 16th & 17th January.
Prize for the largest Bream is $500 and for a junior $150.
Largest Snapper is $500 and for a junior $150.
There are many other prizes for other species including secret weight.
Entry forms will be available from Tuesday before the event and you can enter at the Hotel or Rocks Marine Bait & Tackle, seniors $5 and juniors, under 15, $2.
