The University of the Third Age caters for retired and semi-retired members of the community, offering lifelong learning in a relaxed, social environment, thus encouraging a healthy mind, body and spirit.
Kempsey Macleay Valley University of the Third Age (KMVU3A) is offering 30 courses in Kempsey and South West Rocks for eight weeks from February 1 to March 26.
"On offer are old favourites such as exercise based classes including meanders, yoga, canoeing, table tennis, shibashi, gardening and stretch and balance and classes to stretch our brains and creativity," KMVU3A secretary Fran Tarbox said.
Other courses offered will include card making, French, films, novel adventures, short stories, drumming and ukulele.
"A course called My Journey will be offered in three modules covering topics related to living well whilst keeping in mind our lives will ultimately end," Fran said.
"New classes cover contemporary Military Operations, trading the financial markets and Australian History with a focus on the Macleay Valley."
Annual Membership is for KMVU3A $30 and each course is $5 per term.
There will be two enrolment days held over the next week for those in the community who are interested.
South West Rocks - Thursday January 21 from 10.30am to 12pm at the Catholic Church Annexe, Gregory Street.
Kempsey - Monday January 25 from 10.30am to 12pm at Kempsey Macleay RSL, 1 York Lane.
COVID -19 regulations will be followed at both enrolment venues.
