The heavens opening up wasn't going to stop local athletes from all around NSW on Saturday as they competed in five events on offer as part of the Trial Bay Triathlon weekend.
The categories on the Saturday included:
- Enticer Triathlon (300m swim, 9km bike & 2km run for people 14 years and over)
- Milo Mini (200m swim, 6km bike and 1km run for 11-13yrs)
- Milo Micro (100m swim, 3k bike and 500m run for 8-10yrs)
- Milo Aquathon (100m swim and 500m run for 6-7yrs)
- Milo Adventure (50m swim and 250m run for 5yrs)
The enticer event was designed to encourage those interested in triathlons to try their hand at a shortened format. This was won by Jasper Sumsky in a time of 32:56.

"People loved it [the enticer], many said they'd come back and try and go for the big one," event director Greg Kings told the Argus.
The milo mini was won by Daniel Williams in a time of 21:30 while the micro was taken out by Pablo Garfield.
Kitt Quirk's 3:14 was the winning time in the aquathon and Cohen Davies was victorious in the adventure finishing in 1:37.
Mr Kings said there was strong local representation throughout the day.
"There were a few people from away, particularly from the Newcastle area but the majority of competitors were local," he said.
"The day went really well with the rain holding off for most of the event."
