Buses will replace the XPT train service between Sydney and Brisbane following the derailment of a freight train at Nana Glen, near Coffs Harbour in the early hours of Thursday morning, February 25.
Fire and Rescue NSW is on the scene of the derailment near Morrows Road.
The rescue service reported that half of the 1500m long train left the tracks in the early hours of Thursday morning. One of the locomotives is in a paddock and 16 carriages have jack-knifed, four of which are in floodwater, it said.
