
On the first Saturday of March for 2021 the members and visitors at the Kempsey Golf Club took to the well groomed fairways for the the staging of the 2021 Millionaires 18 hole Single Stroke event for the Monthly Medals in each grade.
With a good field of 86 players hitting off on the day the players were surprised how well the course was and with that the scores in each grade were great.
A big thank you goes to the Millionaires for there sponsorship of the event.
Visitors in the event last Saturday came from SWR, Karratha , Nambucca Heads, Crescent Head, Toukley & Yarra Yarra golf clubs and we thank them for playing at the Kempsey golf club.
Taking out the Medal in the top grade on the day was Allan Hutley with a net score of 67 and the runner up player on the day was Graeme Martin with his net score of 71.
Junior Brett Hutley won the 'B' grade on Saturday with his net score of 71 and with a net score of 72 Edward Lahey was the runner up.
Justin Crockford with a net score of 73 was the Medal winner in the 'C' grade and with a net score of 75 Ray Moodie was the runner up.
All 3 winners of the medals will now play off for the gold medal in November 2021.
Taking out the best gross score in each grade on Saturday were Allen Hutley with 74 in the 'A' grade , Carlin Dunbar-Rudd won the 'B' grade with 89 and Crockford won the 'C' grade with 95.
This weeks winner of the Super Tee ntp on the 18th hole was Daniel Baker with a very good shot to the green.
In the weekly ball competition the winners were players with a score of 75 net on a countback and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event last Saturday.
All players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round in the 18 hole medley single Stableford event at the Kempsey Golf Club for March 13.
All players are reminded to please carry a bucket and fill in all divots to help keep the course in good shape.
Any players interested in playing in this year's scramble event it will be held on Saturday March 27.
