Although ANZAC Day commemorations this year will not be back to normal, we are in a better position than we were last year.
Each of the RSL sub branches along the Mid North Coast is working hard to deliver commemoration activities on ANZAC Day that are within the guidelines of COVID-19 restrictions in adherence with NSW government direction.
While certain exceptions have been granted under relevant Public Health Orders, ANZAC Day commemoration events must still meet the requirements of COVID-19 Safety Plans. The end result is that some sub branches are going to be able to conduct modified ANZAC Day marches, dawn and main services while some sub branches will be unable to march but can conduct ANZAC Day services.
The purpose of this article is to advise on the current intention for the conduct of ANZAC Day commemoration events in your area; however, I caution that these have potential to change due to the ever evolving nature of COVID-19 restrictions. I recommend contacting your local RSL sub branch for confirmation.

Whether you attend a ANZAC Day commemoration event in your town or not, what we owe the original ANZACs and the thousands of service men and Women and their families since is that we remember them.
In 2020 thousands of Australians stood in their driveways at dawn as a touching act of remembrance and it is likely this gesture will be repeated for many years to come. On ANZAC Day 2021 we will remember them. Lest we Forget.
