The NSW Incident Alerts Facebook page shared two videos on Saturday of the sperate incidents as rain bucketed down over the Mid North Coast.
One video, separately posted by Facebook member Ciara Knox of Taree, showed a house being swept down the Manning River.
It belonged to a couple who lived at Mondrook, near Taree, according to a Go Fund Me page set up to support the pair which also says they were due to be married on Saturday.
Ms Knox told the Newcastle Herald the footage was recorded from Petken Drive in Taree on Saturday morning.
It was originally posted by Chris Sheed and, according to his post, taken on Friday.
"Sometimes, I really love mother nature," Mr Sheed wrote on the post.
