Originally, the vaccination was expected to be delivered on Friday March 19.
However, due to the floods this arrival was not forthcoming.
Yesterday, St Colluthus Medical Centre said they received their doses on the Monday and were scheduled to begin their vaccination program today (March 30).
St Colluthus are booked in advance for a month and will continue to take bookings.
Kempsey Medical Centre confirmed 100 doses arrived today with their program to begin next week.
These vaccinations are apart of phase 1b.
As reported previously, phase 1b is for the over 70s, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 55, adults with a specified medical condition, health care workers and critical high-risk workers.
Across the region there are more than 100 practices participating in this phase and many people will be able to get vaccinated by their own GP.
Those who are eligible under phase 1b but whose regular general practice is not offering the COVID-19 vaccination will be able to make an appointment with their nearest participating General Practice Respiratory Clinic. Participating clinics are located in Murwillumbah, Ballina, Casino, Yamba, Nambucca Heads and Kempsey.
To check your eligibility for phase 1b, visit the Vaccine Eligibility Checker. If eligible, this will also provide the next steps to book online or contact a clinic. If you prefer not to use the online option, you can call the National Coronavirus and COVID-19 Vaccination Helpline on 1800 020 080.
