With players able to get out of flooded areas on the Macleay it was a welcome sight to see a field of 55 players hit off in the 18 hole Medley Single Stableford event.
A big thank you goes to the green staff and all the volunteers who have been on course cleaning up and preparing the course for the staging of the event.
After the club officials decided to put up the sign for play as preferred lies through the green and with all bunkers to be GUR the players recorded some pretty good scores.
Taking out the top grade on the day was Wallung Dickson with a very good round of 38 points to have a 2 points victory over his nearest rival Zachary Pritchard who recorded a round of 36 points after some big hitting on course.
In the 'B' grade on Saturday the winner was Daniel Powick who was out to golf with the cricket season over for 2021.
Powick recorded a round of 38 points for the victory and with a round of 35 points Dean Riordan was the runner up.
There was plenty of 'C' graders out on course this week and taking the top prize with a score of 36 points was Jacob Clay.
Evan Clarke is fast improving his game and with a score of 34 points was the runner up on the day in 'C' grade.
Taking out the super tee ntp on the 18th hole this week was Laurie Clay with a fine approach shot.
