After a week of fine weather the heavens opened up again late on Friday night and continued to rain all day on Saturday which saw the plans of the golfers at the Kempsey Golf Club turned upside down.

The wet weather on the day saw no competition held despite 6 players going out on the day in the rain.
Despite the rain on Saturday the MNC pennants did go ahead on Sunday at the club with the Open div. team taking on the team from Urunga.
The open which was lead by Scott Williams in the number one spot along with Ethan Dowling, Mal Blanch, Brett Hutley and Wayne Simmons came away on the day with a 3/2 victory over the more fancied Urunga side.
With the Open team at home the Div. 2 team had to travel to Sawtell however with all the rain on Saturday the match at Sawtell was postponed due to the wet condition of the Sawtell course.
This match will now be played at a later date.
With this Sunday being Anzac Day there will be no pennants held, they will resume on Sunday May 5.
Saturday at the club will be the 2021 Wrights Accounting Open 18 hole Medley 2ball Aggregate Stableford and individual event.
All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and for more information about the upcoming events please give the club a call.
All players should check the playing conditions before hitting off on Saturday and those wishing to book a cart should book in now at the club.
A reminder to all players that the 2021 Club Championships will commence on Saturday May 1.
The Championships will be held over three weeks with the second round on May 8 and the final round on May 15.
This year the Championships will be sponsored by Cetnaj, Elders, Summerville Daley & Cellarbrations.
