Open the box, the dogs are ready to race!
Kempsey Macleay Greyhound Club will tomorrow play host to the coveted Kempsey Cup with a seven race schedule throughout the day.
The finals follows heat races last Saturday with some impressive times run.
"It went really well, fastest heat winner in the Cup was Kundabung with 29.67, trained by Leanne Walker, and that'll see him as the short odds favourite," greyhound club secretary Sam Simonetta told the Argus.
"Kempsey Boy, a local dog, won the Carpet Court heat in 20.19 and was very impressive."
Mr Simonetta predicts a successful day tomorrow with five local trainers to feature in the Cup race.
"Hopefully we'll have a good crowd, it's going to line up to be a good finals and great Cup," he said.
The Carpet Court final will see a total of $4,050 in prize-money on offer while the Kempsey Cup has $5,200 with $4,000 for first.
