Coastal Premier League
The Macleay Valley Rangers Women team sent a weary Wauchope side packing with a 7-0 thrashing over the weekend.
Meanwhile, in Boambee, the 1st Grade men's team managed to take out the formerly top-ranked Boambee FC, 2-1.
The reserves couldn't quite replicate the other division's success, and lost a hard fought game to Boambee 4-1.
In Kempsey, the Kempsey Saints continued their surge up the ladder when they moved into fourth spot following a 5-2 hammering of Port Saints
Kempsey Cannonballs
IT was a very successful weekend for the Kempsey Cannonballs Rugby Club with five out of their six teams getting a win over the Port Pirates at Ian Walton Rugby Park.
The Under 14s,16s,18s, reserves, and the 1st Grade all had hard fought victories.
The women's side had a great start, but were ultimately outclassed by a very talented Port team.
Hastings League
Unfortunately, in sport, there has to be a winner and a loser.
The Lower Macleay Magpies and the South West Rocks Marlins put on a masterclass in rugby league over the weekend.
Bill Turner Cup Round 3
St Paul's emerged 1-0 victors over MacKillop College in a match where defence dominated and clear-cut chances were hard to come by.
