KEMPSEY-BORN Aiden Tolman was front and centre as a little piece of National Rugby League history was penned on the Mid North Coast.
The veteran prop forward who hails from the village of Hat Head, enjoyed a home visit of sorts as part of the Cronulla Sharks squad who thumped the Gold Coast Titans at the Coffs Harbour International Stadium.
The May 30 fixture was part of the dedicated Indigenous Round, and somewhat surprisingly was the first fully fledged NRL match to be played at Coffs.
Aiden started his NRL career with the Melbourne Storm before linking with the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs for 10 stellar years.
This season he has turned out for the Sharks, who rolled the pre-game favourites from the Gold Coast 38-10 at Coffs.
In a torrid and taxing position as a middle forward, Aiden's career is testament to his dedication and durability.
