North American Construction Group Ltd is one of Canada's largest providers of heavy construction and mining services, providing services to large mining and resource companies for over 65 years.
DGI will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of NACG, retaining its brand identity and personnel.
DGI's partnership with NACG provides several long-term employment and economic benefits for the Macleay Valley region.
"DGI has developed a strong relationship with NACG over many years and are excited about now becoming part of their business," DGI managing director David Griffin said.
"Our partnership with NACG provides a range of positive economic and employment opportunities for the Macleay Valley."
DGI Trading recently acquired a package of 20-plus Caterpillar mining trucks, for processing at their South Kempsey facility, set for recycling into the global mining market.
In June, NACG announced the award of a landmark flood mitigation project in the United States. The US$2.75 billion project includes a 30-mile river diversion channel to protect more than 235,000 people in major population centres from catastrophic flooding and loss of property.
"Our ability to support NACG's delivery of projects like this are an example of the many major infrastructure and mining projects we are supporting, across the world," David said.
DGI supplies production-critical mining and construction components to more than 30 countries.
