Camden Haven Show Society secretary Jody Nelson-Gleeson said it takes 13 months to prepare everything for an agricultural show.
"We're looking forward to it. We've had quite a few stewards meetings to see if we could run a COVID safe show with all of the related regulations," Mrs Nelson-Gleeson said.
"This show will be completely different to any show we have previously had. It will be a one-day show because if there was a COVID case on the coast and we had to go into a lockdown that might potentially hurt the show for years to come.
"We also have a huge movement of volunteers, some who are older and at a higher risk with COVID. Understandably a few of them have stepped away until everyone has had their jabs (vaccinations).
"We are just finalising sponsorships and we are mindful that local businesses support us, this year we didn't want to go to them when they have been in financial crisis themselves."
Camden Haven Show will take inspiration from other agricultural shows, by bringing a LEGO building challenge for families and age groups.
This year's Wauchope Show was cancelled in December after Show Society directors decided there was ongoing uncertainty regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
President Neil Coombes said only the current pandemic and a world war has prevented the Wauchope Show being held over the last century.
"It's very disappointing for any agricultural show who has had to call it this year. I don't believe Wauchope can run a one-day show if we get the amount of entries we normally get," Mr Coombes said.
"Our main concern was that under the rules we wouldn't have been able to get enough people in the showgrounds to pay the bills. We would have gone backwards.
"Also if there's a COVID outbreak in your area and you can't hold your event at all I don't think the government is going to prop up us again. They did once and we appreciated it but they cannot provide dollar after dollar.
"If we don't do one in 2022 it will be very hard to hold one in the following years. Once you start going backwards it's very hard to come back."
