Chayse Trappel has been crowned the Macleay Sportsperson of the Month for July and received a $100 voucher to the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club restaurant for his efforts.

Chayse is a master of many sports, competing in rugby union, football, motocross and track and field events.
He currently plays for the Kempsey Cannonballs in under 10's rugby, South West Rocks Football Club and Mid Coast FC in football.
Chayse is a competitive motor bike rider and in the last 18 months has raced in 50cc, 65cc and 85cc.
Recently he travelled to Gunnedah for the NSW Titles and came away with two titles in the 65cc and modified class.
At just ten years old, winning a state title is a huge achievement.
Chayse has also competed in cross country events, finishing third at the North Coast event with state championships on the horizon, which have been recently postponed.
He will also participate in the majority of track and field events at the South West Rocks Primary School athletics carnival.
Earlier in the year at the Trial Bay Triathlon, Chayse competed in the Nestle Milo Junior Triathalon taking out first place in a field of nearly 90 competitors.
Chayse has been a previous winner of the award, back in February 2019.

The Macleay Argus will determine the monthly and yearly winner of the award.
A sportsperson of the month will be decided upon in August 2021 with an additional voucher of $100 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
