The Pirates piled on the 42-10 point win over the Breakers despite tempers almost boiling over during the Group Three Rugby League match on Saturday, July 31.

Old Bar coach Mick Henry was taken off due to a chest injury during the match.

"I've had a bump on ribs the last couple of weeks but just had a short sharp hit on it today. I should be alright next week though." he said.

"We're very happy with how we played and put together a lot better performance today. Two weeks ago we were pretty scrappy but I'm pretty stoked with this one.

"We're just trying to simplify our game at training because we are finding that we get ahead in games but start throwing around the footy too much.

"We can get a bit carried away when we're in front on the scoreboard, but our best footy is played by simplifying and just rolling through the middle."

Breakers manager Rohan Hyde was less enthusiastic about the game after the team failed to fire against the Pirates.

"There was poor discipline again, a few too many errors, too many back to back penalties and that's frustrating," he said.

"The team is good at training. We are sharp and quick there but it's just not happening on game day due to discipline and errors. The effort is there but we are just not showing it on game day."
