Sunflower and bean seed packs were sent home to every student as part of their learning from home packs.
Ms Rixon gave every student instructions to follow and they immediately began the process at home.
Results of this project are being shared on the CHPS Gardnening Google Classroom. Mrs Rixon, who usually leads the CHPS daily gardening club, was delighted to be able to continue this learning for the students while they are working from home.
"It is very rewarding. You'd be surprised how many students get excited when they see their own seed sprout, grow and then they get to eat," she said.
"The children are very excited to see who has been able to grow the tallest beans and sunflowers while they are learning remotely."
