The group is now on the hunt for new members to help continue the community work they have been undertaking for the last 53 years.
The Nambucca Heads Lions Club will hold an information night for prospective members on Tuesday, October 26, at the Nambucca Heads RSL club at 6pm for a 6:30 pm start.
Club numbers have dwindled over the last few years, with only 29 registered members and only 14 active members to help hold various charity events such as fundraising, raffles, cleaning barbecues and other community work.
This leaves the club spread very thin at times as some members still work, have family commitments, or cannot assist with certain tasks due to health reasons.
The club is calling for help to replenish their numbers. If you are a community minded individual who is enthusiastic, committed and enjoys a good social gathering, now is the time to put your hand up and join.
Anybody interested in attending the information night, or joining the Nambucca Heads Lions Club can call the club secretary Bill on 0428 004 035.
