One of the biggest fields for many years hit off last Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Club in the 2021 Dyet Family Memorial Day.

The 148 players came out on the day to remember three fantastic former members of the club who were part of the club for many years.
Long time club captain Cecil, his wife Margaret and son Michael were all remembered on the day in the 18 hole medley single stableford event which saw visitors come from Frederickton, SWR, Crescent Head, Wauchope, Nambucca Heads and Massey Park golf clubs for the day.
To everyone that played and to the club and sponsors a very big thank you goes to everyone for the day.
Taking the Dyet Family Cup which was the 18th year the event has been held was Junior Jhonti Pilbeam from the Frederickton club with a good round of 44 points as the best player on the day.
Congratulations to Jhonti for his victory and keep up the good golf.
Taking out the top grade on Saturday was Angus Crotty with a round of 40 points from Brody (bridesmaid) Clarke with a score of 39 points on a countback Shane Cooper also from Frederickton who claimed the third place prize.
In the 'B' grade on Saturday the winner was Rod Kinnear with a round of 42 points from Jake Johnston who recorded 40 points as the runner up and with a score of 39 points Chris Hudson was in third place.
The 'C' grade winner with a round of 38 points was the veteran Graeme Hall while Greg (pillz) Hollier was runner up on 37 points on a countback from Graeme Irving as the 3rd place getter in 'C' grade.
On the day the ladies did take to the fairways for the stableford event and the winner with a fantastic round of 38 points on a countback was Deniece Dyet from her daughter Jessica Pritchard who also played well for her 38 points to be the runner up and with 34 points Pam Bruce was third.
The winners of the long drives on the day were Bradley Dyet 'A', Ethan Dowling 'B', Jackson Korn 'C' & Deniece Dyet 'L' on the 9th hole while the winners on the 14th hole were Andrew Kirkman 'A', Dowling 'B', Pilbeam 'C' and Justine Higgins 'L'.
On the day two players recorded eagles with club champion James Benson claiming the first one on the very first hole while Scott Witchard recorded his eagle on the 14th hole.
In the weekly ball competition the winners were players with a score of 34 points on a countback and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed prizes from the event.
This weeks winner of the ntp super tee at the 18th hole was a first time winner in Kevin Smith with a good shot to the green.
Saturday at the club the players will play in the 2021 Paul Stubbs 18 hole Medley Single Stroke event and all intending players wishing to play can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and for more information about upcoming events please give the club a call.
A reminder to all the players that you must still obey the COVID-19 rules and please check the playing conditions before hitting off tomorrow.
The final of this years club 4b KO competition will be played between the brother and sister pairing of Bradley Dyet and Jessica Pritchard taking on the father and son team of Ian Rudd and Carlin Dunbar- Rudd. Good luck to both pairs for the final.
Coming up on Saturday October 23rd will be the 2021 Ranbuild Sheds 18 hole 2 person Ambrose event and all intending players wishing to play can book in now for this big event.
Don't forget the daylight saving Dash for Cash has started again on Thursday afternoons. The 9-hole event is open to all comers on the day, just book in at the pro shop before hitting off.
