The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) continues to urge the community to get vaccinated against COVID-19, with 22 cases reported to 8pm yesterday (October 26).

Eighteen are from the Kempsey Local Government Area (LGA), three are from the Coffs Harbour LGA and one is from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.
Twenty-one of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster and the source of the infection of one case is under investigation.
There have been 158 news cases detected in the health district between Port Macquarie, Kempsey and Coffs Harbour in the last week.
Seven schools have been temporarily closed for deep cleaning.
There have been 215 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

The North Coast Public Health Unit is currently investigating the latest cases and contact tracing is underway, including any potential exposure venues of public concern.

The Mid North Coast recorded the highest daily number of COVID-19 tests yesterday (October 26) with 1,931 - 753 of which were conducted at Kempsey.

- PORT MACQUARIE: Regional Stadium, Boundary Street, open 8am to 2pm
