Titled 'In My Backyard', Robyn's latest show was inspired by the Macleay region and her experiences with COVID-19 lockdowns.
"The theme of my art show came about because of the many COVID lockdowns we've had and also a two-week stint of isolation after returning from my dad's funeral in Sydney," she said.
"Many people say my art makes them happy because of the colours, and I guess I paint my way out of the sadness that comes with COVID and not seeing family and friends.
"I get lost in the process of painting and find my happy place.
"Walking my Kelpie dog twice a day has also opened my eyes to the small changes in flora and fauna as the seasons progress.
"We are lucky to have a wealth of birds, black cockatoos, sapphire wrens, king parrots, magpies, and kookaburras all are featured in my work.
"The beach and coast are another favourite subject; the sand and surf are in my blood after living by the coast for all of my life."
Known for her silk paintings, Robyn says she has been honing her craft over several decades, but she has always considered herself an artist.
"I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and painting on silk for over 40 years; it is my medium of choice, although I have dabbled in oils, acrylics, inks and fabric art," she said.
"I have always been inspired by the brilliant dyes on silk and their sometimes unexpected results when steam set.
"My love of dyeing and fabrics continued with my career as a Textiles and Design teacher.
"I liked to experiment with fabric and dye when inspiring my students with their major Textiles projects.
"After retiring from teaching, I was lucky enough to become a full time artist; painting has become my day job."
Robyn's latest art show, 'In My Backyard', will run from November 10 until November 28, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30am to 4pm at the Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery in Gladstone.
"I would love people to come and share my passion for art and our beautiful bush and coast," Robyn said.
