The Cannonballs defeated the SCU Marlins 24-7 to bring home the silverware.
This is the second competition of a three part series run by the North Coast 7s. There is a men's and women's winner for each event, and an overall winner crowned at the end.
The team put on a defensive display all tournament, only conceding four tries across all five games.
Cannonballs Coach, Jared Fuller, said he was very happy with his teams performance, after narrowly losing in the first competition.
"It was great, we went pretty close two weeks ago in Grafton, we got beaten by the SCU Marlins in the final there," Jared said.
"We trained well in the two weeks between, and everything went to plan in the final.
"Last comp we made a couple of mistakes in the final that led directly to points. This time around we were able to put it together and come away with the win."
He said the victory was a testament to the players commitment in training.
"One of the the things we have really been trying to instill is that work ethic on the training paddock, and how we need to apply ourselves to move forward," Jared said
"All the guys who played on the weekend have been training really hard, and it was really good to see guys put in hard work and get a reward from it."
Jack Ramsay and Rhys Owens, both 18, have exceeded expectations.
The club initially wanted to bring up some juniors to train with the men's opens squad to prepare the boys for the speed and physicality of the game, but Jack and Rhys proved that they were ready for the challenge.
"As it turned out the boys trained quite well, and we ended up selecting them for the first tournament, and they just stayed in," Jared said.
"They are both really promising young footballers, Rhys has got a really good football brain and suited to the sevens format, and Jack has got that speed and footwork."
He said confidence is the only thing for them now, but that comes with time.
Three SCU marlins players suffered bad injuries in the final, and the club wanted to wish the players a safe and speedy recovery.
The Women's team beat Grafton to finish in fifth place, they showed grit and determination throughout the tournament.
"They played some brilliant footy but the two top sides, Wauchope and Causurina Beach were very slick," Jared said.
The final tournament will be held in Yamba on December 4.
