Rural Crime Investigators from Mid North Coast Police District are investigating the theft of a number of oysters from a commercial lease on a Macleay River tributary, Rainbow Reach.

This incident is believed to have occurred sometime between November 15 and 17.
The offender/s trespassed onto the lease and removed approximately 70 dozen bistro and A grade oysters from their baskets which had been destined for sale during the upcoming Christmas/New Year period.
Members of the public are being encouraged to report person/s selling black market oysters and oyster theft.
