The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called just after 10am after receiving reports a 47-year-old man had hit a tree on a remote fire trail.
Ambulance NSW paramedics and emergency services attended the scene and provided treatment prior to the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team.
Due to the remoteness and terrain of the area the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team were winch inserted into the location, a helicopter spokesperson said.
The rider suffered serious shoulder and chest injuries.
Once stabilised he was stretcher winched from the location and flown direct to the Port Macquarie Hospital in a stable condition.
