To those that have been asked, the Macleay Valley Rangers have never had a female president, let alone a female president and vice-president combination.

Now Emma Tamblyn (president) and Shelby Coleman (vice-president) have turned the tide and are looking to lead their club into a season of success on and off the field.
"We're getting the club to how it's meant to be - family oriented with people wanting to be there," Tamblyn said.
"An encouraging group with everyone supporting each other."
With almost 250 overall players last year and teams in most divisions there'll be plenty of work ahead.
Tamblyn, who has held the vice-president role, says that will be achievable with a supportive committee.
"I'll have a lot of help from my committee, that's the only way it can happen," she said.
That committee will include Virginia Johnstone (treasurer), Lisa Morn (registrar), Steven Morn, Lewis Stone, Heidi Pattern, Chris Walker, Jane Morn, Jason Coleman, Troy Ward, Keith Morn and Denielle Cooper.
While Tamblyn has previous experience in an executive position, Coleman's venture into the vice-president's role presents a new opportunity.
"I was just coming to (the annual general meeting) join as a general committee member and no one put their hand up so I figured someone had to do it," she said.
One of the first priorities for the new executive was appointing Coastal Premier League (CPL) coaches with Jason Coleman leading the first grade side and Steven Morn in charge of reserve grade.
The call has now gone out for a women's coach with the structure of that competition under discussion.
"We would like to see a similar format to CPL happen," Tamblyn said.
"An expression of interest has gone out to all clubs (from Football Mid North Coast) to gauge what other clubs think.
"A zone premier league could also occur where we could play teams down at Taree."
