The 2021 Team Spirit Sport 18 hole Single Stroke event for the monthly medals of December was held last Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Club with a field of 76 players hitting off on the day.

The medals were awarded to the three winners in each grade on the day with all three winners going on to the gold medal playoff to be held in November 2022.
To the team at the Team Spirit a big thank you goes to you for your sponsorship of the day and again to everyone that helped out during the week to have to course in top condition for the event.
With only a small field there were a number of visitors from Frederickton, Nambucca Heads, Crescent Head & Waratah golf clubs.
The day was held in different conditions with the morning players enjoying the day while the mid morning and afternoon players were hit with heavy showers and a wet course which forced a number of players to retire early.
Taking out the medals on Saturday in the three grades were Peter Townsend in 'A' with a net score of 73 while the winner in the 'B' grade was Martin Nicholls with a net score of 72, and the 'C' grade winner was Max Gleeson with a score of 72 net.
On the day the winners in each grade were Campbell Hoskins from Frederickton in the 'A' grade with a net score of 70 with Townsend the runner up with a net score of 73.
Nicholls won the 'B' grade on 72 with Kevin Hopping the runner up player on 72 net.
Gleeson was the 'C' grade winner with Wayne Hutley the runner up on 75 net.
Former club champion Rick Nicholson won the best gross score in the 'A' grade with a round of 77 while in the 'B' grade it was Nicholls on 87 and Gleeson won the 'C' grade with 93.
Winners of the ntp's at the 3rd hole were on Saturday were Nicholson 'A', Hopper 'B', Brett Walker 'C' & Cassie Black 'L'.
On the 8th hole the winners were Hoskins 'A', Mal Blanch 'B' & Walker 'C'.
The winners at the 11th hole were Michael Flanders 'A', John Daley 'B', Walker 'C' & Pam Bruce 'L'.
Winners at the 16th hole were Stuart Phillips 'A', Ben Pierpoint 'B' & Jill Stringer 'L'.
Mark Morrison was this week the winner of the super tee ntp at the 18th hole for the best 2nd shot to the green.
Winners of the weekly ball competition were players with a score 76 net and better and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
A reminder to all members to please collect your unclaimed balls and vouchers before the end of the month.

This weekend will hopefully see the 2021 Macleay Valley Travel Kempsey Open Day go ahead after it was washed out two weeks ago.
All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round.
Saturday December 11 will see the members and visitors again weather permitting play in the 18 hole Medley Single Stableford event with all players wishing to play to book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round.
