Saturday saw the third round of the 2021-22 monthly medals played for at the Kempsey Golf Club as part of the Cellarbrations 18 hole Medley Single Stroke event.

This was week two of the month long sponsorship by Cellarbrations and everyone at the club thanks them for there sponsorship of each week.
With the green keeper and lots of volunteers working hard during last week in and out of the rain the course was well presented on the day despite the conditions, so many thanks to everyone involved.
With a field of 63 players which saw the no carts sign put up on Saturday morning there were visitors from Frederickton and SWR who took on the course.
Peter Livermore who was one of the first players to hit off found the course to his liking when he returned to the clubhouse around lunchtime with a net score of 66 to claim the Monthly Medal in 'A' grade for the month of January.
Taking out the Medal in the 'B' grade was Craig Rogan who had time off from his cricket to play golf and won the medal with a net score of 67.
Adric Bobin was the medal winner in the 'C' grade this month with a net score of 71.
Scotty Bill Williams with his net score of 73 on a countback was the runner up to Livermore and Wayne Binnie in the 'B' grade was the runner up on the day with a net 68, while in the 'C' grade William Pollock was the runner up with a net score of 73.
In the gross event in each grade the 'A' grade winner was Andrew Kirkman with a 69 and in 'B' grade Rogan with 81 was the winner while Bobin won the 'C' grade with 93.
Winners of the ntp's at the 3rd hole were Mark Morrison 'A', Binnie 'B', Russell Graham 'C'.
On the 8th hole the winners were Peter Hudson 'A', Binnie (again) 'B', Luke Dufty 'C'. Peter Townsend 'A' & Bryce Widdison 'B' were the winners at the 11th hole while on the tough 16th hole the winners were Brad Martin 'A' & Glenis Stokes (swr) 'L'.
This week's winner of the super tee ntp on the 18th hole was Rick Nicholson with a very fine 2nd shot the green.
The winners of the weekly ball competition were players with a score of 75 net and better and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event last Saturday.
The Cellarbrations will continue Saturday when the club stages the 2022 Cellarbrations 18 hole 2 person Ambrose event with the first players hitting off from 7am.
All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and for anyone wishing to book a cart for your round.

A reminder to all players to please check the playing conditions board before hitting off for your round and please remember to sign your card before handing it in.
To everyone going to the club a reminder that you must still obey the COVID19 rules at the club and please wear a mask when inside the club and please sign in before you enter the club for the safety of everyone at the club.
Coming up for the rest of the month for the Cellarbrations Saturday golf in Saturday January 22 an 18 hole Medley 4ball Aggregate Stableford and Individual event and on Saturday January 29 is the Open 18 hole Single Stableford event.
