Lachy Townsend from Coastline said the event was for businesses to connect in a less formal setting.
“It’s just a nice, quick and casual catch up for the businesses in West Kempsey,” he said.
“Creating a central hub for the businesses in West Kempsey was the aim of the event, we had a number of businesses who visited throughout the evening.”
Team leader of Coastline Credit Union Marika Crilley said the night was a informal event for people to enjoy themselves and a chance to network.
“West Kempsey has boomed and we wanted to celebrate the amazing businesses located here and provide an opportunity to chat and just have a very informal catch up,” she said.
Coastline has hosted more formal events in the past but this was the first informal Christmas event.
“This is our first Christmas event. We had a number of businesses in the area interested and they came in throughout the night to say,” Mr Townsend said.
“It was great to see people out and about, we understand this is a busy time of year but it was a good turn out.”
“We’re hoping to hold more events like this for businesses next year.”
