On June 11 members celebrated the club's ninth anniversary with a special lunch at The Island Restaurant at the Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club. Special thank you to Marj Ellison for baking and decorating the delicious birthday cake and to all those involved in organising an enjoyable day.
Members can look forward to a full calendar of socials and trips which have been organised for the remainder of 2014: August 7 - Kegel Nine Pin Bowling; September 3 - Barbecue Lunch Cruise, Port Macquarie; November 10 - coach tour to Dubbo and Surrounds (4-days); December - Christmas Lunch (date TBA).
Special guest speaker at the July meeting is John Pollock who will speak on ‘Refugees Fact or Fiction - A look at the history and application of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and its application in Australia’.
