Last year Elaine was the winner by the narrowest of margins but this year Kath was determined to turn the tables and she raced away to an early lead.
It is a well known fact that once Kath establishes a lead, it’s a tough job for her opponent to bridge the gap. Although Elaine put down some great bowls, it was apparent that Kath was not prepared to squander her advantage as she powered to a 150-120 victory.
Congratulations to both players on a fine exhibition of draw bowls.
Once again the jackpot did not go off and rink winners were Kath McPhail and marker Jean Dew.
