Stephan Blair and Triston Reilly were picked for the tour following impressive performances in a training camp last year.
The pair came through the local junior ranks together and both moved away in 2013 with Stephan joining the Sydney Roosters while Triston went to Newcastle to play for the Knights.
Stephan has since returned from Sydney where he has been a star recruit for South West Rocks Marlins, scoring eight tries in their hammering of Harrington last weekend.
Incorporating players from as remote as Bourke and Collarenebri, the tour will take the boys across Italy and France.
They will be plenty of chances for the group to expand their social and cultural horizons on the trip with a number of historically significant locations included in the itinerary.
Stephan said he is looking forward to making the most of his next adventure.
“I’ve never been overseas before so it will be great to experience a different culture,” he said.
“It will be good to have Triston on the tour as well. We grew up playing together and have had similar journeys.”
Triston and Stephan were among 12 members of the touring party that received tuition at a session run by Rabbitohs high-performance manager Troy Thomson at Redfern Oval on Monday.
On hand to assist for the day were South Sydney squad members Chris Grevsmuhl and Isaac Luke.
