IRIS (4pm), a new Albert Maysles’ documentary is about the vivacious 93-year old New York fashion and style icon Iris Apfel. It comes from sold out screenings at Sydney Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival.
For lovers of Hollywood's Golden Age, CineClassics morning tea makes its debut with the Billy Wilder film SOME LIKE IT HOT (11am), starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemon, and Tony Curtis. A rare opportunity to see on the big screen, the film won the Best Costume Design Oscar for its year with all costumes created by Australian Orry-Kelly. Some morning tea will be provided for this session, but feel free to bring a plate to share with other classic film lovers.
Finishing out the day is the beautiful Finnish animation MOOMINS ON THE RIVIERA (1:30PM) and raucous new indie film about the wild streets of West Hollywood's nightlife, TANGERINE (7PM).
