As the mercury nudged 28 degrees in the shade, the Strikers found Premier League side Urunga Raiders too hot to handle in the second round tie.
Nambucca tried hard and chased every ball, but the Raiders crisp passing and speed up front proved a bridge too far for the hosts as the visitors eased to a comprehensive victory.
Both sides though will profit for the outing, with Urunga advancing to the third round and looking in great physical shape, while the Strikers will learn from the step up in class and look forward to the Challenge Cup next weekend.
