The parade formed up in bright sunshine and proceeded down the hill past the clapping crowds and the RSL Club.
At the cenotaph everyone gathered, sharing prayers, a minute's silence and the national anthem before the laying of the wreaths.
A passing shower saw umbrellas unfurled only briefly.
