The Macleay Netball Assocciation have under 12, 13, 14 and 15 years of age representative teams heading down on Friday to the 2016 state age championships in Wollongong to play over three days this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

They have been in training since February for the championships and are ready to head down and give it their all.
They have attending local carnivals within this time to assist in their preparations when they take on teams from all over NSW. It's a tough three days for the girls both physically and mentally with most of the teams playing over 20 games each.
They have great coaches, managers and family support behind them though and will do the Macleay proud.
The association would like to thank all those volunteering their time as players, coaches, managers, supporters and especially the umpires giving up their time as the teams compete without umpires.
More than 3,300 athletes from 309 teams representing 87 Associations will take the courts for the 48th instalment of the competition, which will be held at Campbelltown District Netball Association (Championship Division).
Bankstown City Netball Association will host division two, and Illawarra District Netball Association divisions three and four).
Along with the thousands of players taking part, over 400 coaches and 500 umpires will be joined by tens of thousands of spectators, marking the State Age Championships as one of the largest female sports tournaments in Australia showcasing potential future stars of one of Australia’s largest female participation sports.
