Despite the rainy conditions there was an excellent attendance and patrons were treated to a varied repertoire of music guaranteed to lift the spirits.
The first half of the program included some classic favourites such as Ave Maria and Gloria, with the ladies of the choir presenting Pie Jesu and items by soloists and small groups.
After a delicious afternoon tea at the interval provided by the church members, the second half included such beautiful songs as El Shaddai, Chariots Coming and I'm Gonna Walk on Home.
The audience was invited to join in singing the Old Hundredth Psalm and the concert concluded with You'll Never Walk Alone.
Judging by the smiles on people's faces as they left, the music was very well received.
A donation of $1134 from the proceeds has been donated to the Macksville Hospital through the Bowraville Hospital Auxiliary.
The Singers would like to thank all their loyal patrons for their continued support of our concerts. We welcome new singers, especially men!
We have now started on rehearsals for our next concerts on November 5 and 6, so it would be a great time to join the choir.
Come along to a rehearsal on Tuesday nights at the Macksville Primary School from 5 - 7pm. We resume on Tuesday, July 19.
