This time it is the Department of Primary Industries Crown Reserve Trust – Community Manager’s Award.
The Trust manages a nursery facility on Crown land and is a NSW Government appointed body.
It has formed partnerships with other groups to restore and enhance the vegetation and biodiversity around Grassy Head Beach on the mid north coast of New South Wales and has planted over 10,000 new plants in the area in the last five years.
The group oversees and manages a nursery facility where volunteers propagate coastal seedlings and carry out projects to reduce weeds and regenerate vegetation in coastal environments.
Finalists will be announced on Wednesday, ahead of the gala dinner in November where the winners will have their moment in the spotlight.
