To ensure your stay is safe, secure and memorable police from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command are asking holiday-makers to take the time to do the following.
* Lock all cabin and caravan windows and doors and tie down tent flaps prior to going out.
* Don’t leave handbags, wallets and car keys in view.
* Don’t leave surfboards, wetsuits, boogie boards etc out in the open, especially at night.
* Trailered boats are not a safe place for fishing gear. Lock away rods, reels, GPS, tackle boxes and fuel tanks.
* Don’t leave doors and windows unlocked at night while asleep.
* Secure motor vehicles. Only leave valuables in them as a last resort.
* Secure eskies and bikes inside your cabin. If you can’t lock your annex, secure valuable items to an immovable object.
* Report all suspicious activity to Police.
If you are the victim of a stealing report your loss straight away.
Mid North Coast police wish you all the best for a happy and safe holiday.
