Bowraville/Nambucca Heads is one of the areas of particular need.
The charity, which co-ordinates non-emergency flights for financially and medically needy people, is looking for pilots who have access to light aircraft and are willing to donate their time.
All flights are free, helping patients or compassionate carers to travel to and from the medical facility they require.
Angel Flight Australia already has more than 3000 volunteer pilots Australia wide.
Pilots donate their time and the use of their aircraft while Angel Flight reimburse them for their fuel.
Angel Flight Australia CEO Marjorie Pagani said the pilots get a lot of satisfaction from completing the missions.
