Women aged 40 years or more are eligible for the free BreastScreen service; women aged 50 to 74 are encouraged to attend every two years.
The Director of BreastScreen for the Mid North Coast and Northern NSW Local Health Districts, Jane Walsh, said appointments were filling quickly and encouraged women to phone and book an appointment.
"It's a free service that could save your life," Ms Walsh said.
"Appointments take only 20 minutes and it is not necessary to have a GP referral."
