Marlena Goolagong was last seen about 9pm on February 15 at her home in Beranghi Road, Crescent Head.
Officers from Mid North Coast Local Area Command hold serious concerns for the welfare of the 22-year-old woman who suffers an intellectual impairment and requires a full-time carer.
Detective Constable Kim Fehon said police were anxious to locate Marlena, who is well-known to many in the local area.
“A lot of people will know her and will have seen her around the Kempsey Neighbohood Centre,” Constable Fehon said. “We are hoping that we will generate some information about her.”
Local police, with the assistance of NSW Police Air Wing, officers on trail bikes, the NSW Police Dog Squad and State Emergency Service volunteers are searching her home and surrounding areas.
She is described as being Caucasian in appearance with a large build and brown curly hair. She was last seen wearing black pyjama pants and black t-shirt. She may have a denim handbag with a brown strap with her.
