The side defied the odds to take out the minor premiership title, and continued their winning form to beat a determined Macksville Strikers side.
Macksville elected to bat first and after their allotted 25 overs finished on 5/91. Nambucca returned a score of 5/101.
“They all chipped in to get the runs, it was really great to see,” coach Peter Lee said.
After a shaky start to the season, winning the grand final was the icing on the cake.
“It took a little while (during the season) to get them into gear, but they were basically unstoppable in the end,” he said.
“They learned to build partnerships and the team worked together – which is what it’s all about.
“I could see the will and dedication in those kids. Every week they were at training and just always willing to listen and learn.
“They won last year in the under 12s and since their confidence has just kept growing – they're going to be a full on team to beat in years to come.”
The club’s presentation day is on at Nambucca Heads Bowling Club on April 1 from 2-4pm.
