The 23-year-old became a registered lawyer on April 21 after completing four years of study.
Beverley Hoskins was often her carer and she said Kygim always had plans of studying law.
“She said to me in fifth class that she wanted to be a lawyer,” Mrs Hoskins said.
“Kygim was always the smartest in her class, in kindergarten she read over 250 books.”
Kygim began boarding in year 10 at the Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart.
It is a private Catholic and boarding school predominantly for girls and during her time there she focused on her studies.
Kygim injured her knee while playing netball and was forced to put her studies on hold for six months.
